The roti

My dear wife broke her collar bone back In India and is partly dependant on me. Actually I am happy that I can take care of her and she also expects me to take care of her. A miracle happened, actually when she said that she is sick of eating rice and wanna have some chapatis. Making chapati is really difficult, starting from kneading dough to make the final product called 'roti', it requires expertise and rich experience.

I was excited to make roti for her. I did almost everything but she also helped me a lot to accomplish the herculian task. Actually it reminded me of my childhood days when my mom or dad used to make a lot of chaptais and parathas for us. I and my younger brother used to eat a lot without much thinking. I am wondering how my mom and dad out of sheer love, took so much pain to provide us every delicious food in this world. I am simply grateful to them.

ROTI is such a trivial little thing, but when you are away from your home, you miss it badly. No shop would be able to provide you the perfect "Maa" and "Babi" ke haath ki roti. No makkhan or butter can match the selfless love of my parents. Thanks Roti for being a connection betwen us. I wish you always remain in this world to tell our tales.
