Ki kis harsh mein magan hai tu
Ya shokh mein jalti hain teri raatein
Ki kisi pretisodh ki aag hain tujhme
Ya kisi ke ant ki hai prabal abhilasha
Aasan nahi dilon ka ab mel magar
Dilon ki duriyaan bhi to rahat nahi deti

How much greedy one should be ?

1 hour in treadmill that includes 55 minutes non-stop running and 5 minutes walking burns 615 calories and makes you run 5.5 miles. I did that today morning from 6:30AM to 7:30AM. Still I am slower than when I finished a 10K(5.95 miles) outdoors in 45 minutes. Isn’t it a tale 16 years back ? Amazing how time goes by.

Believe me this workout of mine is nothing. There are people around me who spin my head when I hear their feats. Interesting part to note that a lot of these people have interest in athletics from
their school or college days. They loved sports and games from very early age and continues to pursue the same given so little time they could garner from their daily chore.

Can you believe the pressure of working in foreign land, doing everything with our own hand. Raising children, keeping up to the expectation of wife, friends and relatives, health gets  second attention. I understand money is important for everything, but one needs to set a threshold beyond which one should not care or aim/chase for. If you want crazy money, your life, your present and future and everything else will be crazily screwed. You may loose your wife’s love, your kid’s attention and your friends’ affection. Think twice before you try for that next high-paying job. Please try to see through the poison-clad-stress-mixed offer letter and sweaty-gorgeous suit of yours.

Greed is dangerous. It will ruin your whole life. Remember that story in which 4 boys set out in the search of treasure and each boy returns back when one gets treasure in form of silver, gold and diamond except the fourth who assumes he may be lucky enough to get something more precious than diamond(I know I know there is platinum and what not), but rather gets a spinning wheel on his head which will remind him of his greed. That’s what I am saying…we need to stop at some time and think why we need money for and why we need so much money for ? We need to know the point of exit since there is no end to the greed. Focus more on family and your health. You will get best return in the future. I need to stop too……. J !!!

Why one should not go for movie "Besharam" ?

Wanted to give a firsthand review of the bollywood movie "Besharam" watched over this weekend. Ticket cost was $11.50(X2) and a popcorn was only $7. Gas cost me roughly $10-$15. Calculate all the investments we make without a second thought and think about the enjoyment ROI. Went to the theatres with a lot of enthusiasm but came out with :(
As per the title of the movie "Besharam"(shameless), Ranveer Kapoor did the full justice to the character  of an orphan with ease and vitality. Film was stuffed with a lot of dancing and funny songs. Yesteryear couples Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh scored highest marks in their acting, humor and even dance.  It was hard to tell whether Ranveer is leading or Rishi is. Ranveer's buddy in the film, T2 is lovable and would sure to get the attention of the audience with his funny punches. With all this goodies, still I would not suggest you to spend your hard-earned bucks and time in the theatre for this movie.
So what went wrong with this movie? The lack of the story...rather I felt it's another bullshit story that Indian filmgoers has to take yet again. Had this movie been released 30 years back, I would have not complained, but this movie.....after so many years later we are making the same old movies. A movie should be written with some thoughts and current state of the population.  At one point it made me ponder whether it's  a kids movie because my son was definitely enjoying the dance and action.  Heroine of the movie(who was she?), don't feel like she is the heroine. So let's not talk about it. Let's call it my personal preference.
Ranveer and I did the same kind of mistake; he by doing the movie and I by watching .  I felt like cheated and wanted my money and time back . I strongly recommend that Central Board of Film Certification should add another certificate - BS(Bullshit), along with U, UA, A and S (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Board_of_Film_Certification) so that people should get the signal well in advance that they are taking a risk. Anyways guys...would not say much. Would end this blog with the advice "Please read movie review before stepping into the theatre". Don't be the first fool :) Realized what Chanakya told - Learn from others mistake because learning from ones mistake would take ages. He was right.

The roti

My dear wife broke her collar bone back In India and is partly dependant on me. Actually I am happy that I can take care of her and she also expects me to take care of her. A miracle happened, actually when she said that she is sick of eating rice and wanna have some chapatis. Making chapati is really difficult, starting from kneading dough to make the final product called 'roti', it requires expertise and rich experience.

I was excited to make roti for her. I did almost everything but she also helped me a lot to accomplish the herculian task. Actually it reminded me of my childhood days when my mom or dad used to make a lot of chaptais and parathas for us. I and my younger brother used to eat a lot without much thinking. I am wondering how my mom and dad out of sheer love, took so much pain to provide us every delicious food in this world. I am simply grateful to them.

ROTI is such a trivial little thing, but when you are away from your home, you miss it badly. No shop would be able to provide you the perfect "Maa" and "Babi" ke haath ki roti. No makkhan or butter can match the selfless love of my parents. Thanks Roti for being a connection betwen us. I wish you always remain in this world to tell our tales.

My village is growing leaps and bounds

I belong to a small place called Charoda. It has the proximity to Raipur, capital of state Chhatisgarh, Bhilai (known for Bhilai Steel Plant , one of the leading steel plants in India and also for a large number of students getting selected for premier institute off IITs) . Earlier it was literally a vilage, but in the last 3-4 years it has seen its share of great success in every filed. It has now 4 lanes with traffic signals, which people hardly cares, it has multiplexes where I seat in 2 row during weekends, it has huge shopping malls with leading brands, it has luxury and costly appartments comparable to those in metro cities in Bangalore and Hyderabad, it has leading banks like ICICI and HDFC, it has gr8 colleges with all the state of the art facilities, it has a nice airport which facilitates Air Deccan and Jet Airways.

Every thing looks nice and promising except the people and their mentality. There is a huge confusion in the traffic still, everyone thinks he need to cross the toll booth first, nobody cares about the queue system at any places you name: movie theatre, gas counter, ticket counters in railway station, corruption and black marketing is open in distributing gas cylinders. People have the attitude to mind everybody's affair except his own.

I believe we Indians are growing by leaps and bounds and we can do far better if we just try to be patient and a little courteous. I really wonder why we all are in such a hurry ? Why we don't adopt fair means ? Why we keep mum on being taken for granted for every other things ? Why there is always delay for any simple thing ? Why don't we have respect for time ? Why we wanna always make public places look dirty ? When we will stop throwing garbage inside the trains and buses and streets ?

I don wanna be a software developer any more

Its so boring sitting in front of this box and keep motivating yourself. There are so many sources of distractions while working before computer especially chats, but I would take the blame on my lack of interest to do anything else. If there is no work, its really difficult to kill the time. Thanks to the number of bank and email accounts I have opened, I keep switching between them to see if some dollars have been credited , which rarely happens or debited, always happens. I keep transferring amount between my accounts using paypal, a free service involves some days to reflect in another account. Primarily I use gmail and yahoo and have 3 accounts to check. Here my main job is to delete the useless mails and move the important ones to the designated folders. I cannot stand unread mails while online. Either I have to read it or delete it. If I find some old friends of mine, I would involve in chatting too or else chatting is so boring with unknown guy. I believe chatting is fun for teenagers. I have been in IT industry for past 5 years and now I am feeling the pang of boredome and restlessness. I didn't understand till date why they have to pay us so high to do some damn job.

I always loved to be with people and interacting with the crowd. After I came back from this year of India trip, I am not able to concentrate on work, there is no work in fact. For the first time in life, I am forced to yell " I don wanna be a software developer any more......."
